Safety Awareness Training (2hrs)
This training session provides employees with a basic understanding of:
- Their duties as an Employee / Worker with respect to work place safety
- Their employer’s with respect to the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015
- Work place consultation
- Hazard Identification & Risk control methods
This session:
It will equip the Worker with the ability to understand why Health & Safety is Important to them and to their Employer
It will create in Workers an understanding of their “Duty of Care” to other people in their workplace
It will provide them with an understanding of the basic Hazard Identification and Risk Control process
It will show how important Worker participation is in the management of Health & Safety and how by talking with their fellow workers and management a safer workplace can be achieved.
Managers & Supervisors Course (1 Day)
(Completed as 4 x 2hr sessions completed over 4 consecutive weeks)
This training session provides Managers & Supervisors with a working knowledge of:
- Their duties as an Employee / Worker with respect to work place safety
- Their employer’s with respect to the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015
- Work place consultation and the role of the work place supervisor in workplace consultation
- Hazard Identification & Risk control methods
- The use of SOP’s / Safe Work Method Statements
This session:
It will equip the Supervisor / Manager with the ability to understand why Health & Safety is Important to them and to their Employer
It will create in Workers an understanding of their “Duty of Care” to other people in their workplace
It will provide them with an understanding of the basic Hazard Identification and Risk Control process
It will show how important Worker participation is in the management of Health & Safety and how by talking with their fellow workers and management a safer workplace can be achieved.
It will provide a basic introduction to the development of Work Place Safe work method statements
Internal Auditing of Work place Health & Safety (2 Days )
(Completed in 4 - ½ day sessions spread over 4 consecutive weeks)
This course is designed to equip the Worker / Management Representative with the ability to conduct basic work place inspections and internal systems audits
This course will:
- Enable a worker to examine the company safety system and to ensure that the system is operational (this is a regular activity required to ensure that the safety system is implemented and remains active in the workplace)
- Enable the worker to identify where the system is not being utilised or is ineffective
- Enable the worker to inspect the work place on a regular basis by conducting a safety walk
RISK MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLES
This course will equip workers and management with the knowledge and skills to not only identity hazards in their workplace but also to assess the associated risks and implement appropriate control measures.
Under the new Legislation the focus has shifted from “Hazard Identification” to the “Management of Risk”
Persons who attend this course will gain a practical and in depth understand of the difference between workplace Hazards and workplace Risks
The appropriate use of the Hierarchy of Control & how to generate an effective Risk Register.
